The group VVON has completed an expanded visual universe in collaboration with rising Vietnamese star director Phuong Vu.

VVON officially began its activities by releasing its first mini-album 'VVON' on the 20th, and the music video for the title track 'Super Model' has attracted the attention of K-Pop fans with the participation of Phuong Vu, a visual creator representing Vietnam's Gen Z.

Phuong Vu has not only been responsible for visual campaigns for major brands such as Vietnam Airlines and Samsung but has also quickly gained influence by participating in Apple's global project 'SHOT ON iPhone'. He is noted for his unique direction that freely mixes traditional culture, street sensibility, pop culture, and surreal imagery, making him a director that “Vietnam's Gen Z is enthusiastic about.”

This is the first time that Phuong Vu has directed a music video for a K-Pop group, with VVON's 'Super Model'. The music video is based on a fantasy universe that transcends reality and illusion, unfolding VVON's fateful narrative of awakening as a 'real super model' against a backdrop of fierce competition, presented with a sensuous mise-en-scène. The unique colour palette, composition, and bizarre yet stylish visual direction have led to reactions among music fans that it feels like “a piece of art film” right after its release.

VVON first collaborated with American director Hannah Lux Davis, known for her work with Doja Cat, Ariana Grande, Anne-Marie, Nicki Minaj & Ice Spice, with their pre-debut single 'Dudumchit', and now they are working with Vietnam's Phuong Vu, receiving praise for “global-level scale from the music video.” With consecutive collaborations with world-renowned directors across genres and nationalities, there is great anticipation for what visual narratives VVON will continue to unfold in the future.
