The trending K-Pop group SEVENTEEN has captured the attention of global music fans by entering the flagship live series 'Tiny Desk Concert' of US public radio NPR Music.
According to their agency Pledis Entertainment on the 25th, SEVENTEEN members Joshua, Mingyu, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino performed live for about 30 minutes in the 'SEVENTEEN: Tiny Desk Concert' released on the NPR Music YouTube channel on the 24th (local time).
'Tiny Desk' is a small-scale live series held in front of a small desk in a corner of the NPR office, characterised by the close proximity between artists and the audience, allowing them to focus solely on the music. To date, global musicians such as Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Billie Eilish, and Sabrina Carpenter have performed, and SEVENTEEN is the first K-Pop group to perform at the NPR headquarters office in Washington D.C.
SEVENTEEN opened with their representative song 'Super', instantly heating up the space like a concert hall. They continued with a setlist that spans their 10-year history, showcasing 'Clap', 'HOT', and 'SOS (Prod. Marshmello)', maintaining a strong energy. They proved their diverse musical spectrum by adding the sweet mood of '_WORLD', 'Darling (Darl+ing)', the refreshing 'Rock with You', and the lyrical 'Whirlwind'.

Pledis Entertainment stated, "The members showcased flawless live performances while freely riding the rhythm, leaving the audience in awe," and added, "Their ability to take song requests from the audience on the spot and sing 'HBD' while engaging with them revealed the seasoned and relaxed nature of artists in their 11th year since debut." The new arrangements with the session band maximised the dense sound unique to 'Tiny Desk', taking advantage of the office space.
The audience, filling every corner of the office, responded with sing-alongs and cheers. SEVENTEEN's official light stick 'Carat Bong' and banners were spotted everywhere, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a 'mini concert' rather than a regular office space.
The final song was SEVENTEEN's signature encore track 'Very NICE'. The members jumped with the audience, raising the excitement to its peak, and even after the song ended, prolonged cheers and applause lingered, leaving a lasting impression of the performance.
SEVENTEEN expressed, "We are happy to appear on a program we usually enjoy watching," and added, "We expected a quieter atmosphere since we were performing in an actual office, but it felt just like a concert venue. We never imagined we would receive such a reaction at 'Tiny Desk'. Thanks to everyone, it was truly a wonderful time."
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is currently continuing their global tour through 'SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_]'. After successfully completing performances in Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, Hong Kong Kai Tak Stadium, and five cities in North America, they will begin their four major dome tour in Japan starting from the 27th (based on local performance schedule), meeting local fans at the Vantelin Dome Nagoya, Kyocera Dome Osaka, Tokyo Dome, and Fukuoka PayPay Dome.
