‘Reply 1988’ (hereafter ‘Reply 1988’) is drawing fans' attention as some of the MT site has been revealed, reuniting the cast for its 10th anniversary.
On the 1st (KST), Channel Fifteen's official channel uploaded a video titled “Giving a Disposable Camera to Deok-seon. When I gave a film camera to Deok-seon, who is going on a trip with the Ssangmun-dong family”. The production team handed a film camera to Hyeri (playing Deok-seon) and requested, “If you take pictures with this camera, we will make a video,” to which Hyeri responded, “Sounds good. I’m going to Gangwon-do. With the Ssangmun-dong family,” expressing her excitement. This seems to parody the recently popular film camera-based shorts and reels content.
The video contains a teaser made up of film photos taken by Hyeri. The warm atmosphere of the Ssangmun-dong family from ‘Reply 1988’ gathering in one place after a long time is conveyed. In particular, the group photo of ‘Reply 1988’ that recently attracted attention is also preserved in film version, stirring fans' emotions. Actors who shone in the drama, including Hyeri, Park Bo-gum, Sung Dong-il, Lee Il-hwa, Ra Mi-ran, Kim Sung-kyun, Choi Moo-sung, Kim Sun-young, Yoo Jae-myung, Go Kyung-pyo, Lee Dong-hwi, and Ryu Hye-young, all gathered, adding significance. The natural fashion reminiscent of that time also evokes nostalgia among viewers.
Ryu Jun-yeol, who had been absent from the group photo for a while, was also captured by the film camera. Although he could not join the official group shoot due to scheduling conflicts, he reportedly participated in the opening and some individual shoots. The released photos show him sitting among Ra Mi-ran, Kim Sung-kyun, Ahn Jae-hong, and Lee Min-ji, bringing joy to fans.
Additionally, the real MT site of the cast is vividly captured with a film camera, raising expectations for the main broadcast.
