Baby Monster, transformed into the girl group Huntress from ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’, has emerged as the practical biggest beneficiary of the ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’. They received high praise from the director for their near-perfect live performance and proved their explosive popularity by recording the highest views among award-related videos.
On the 29th of last month, Baby Monster took the stage at the ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’ held at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong with a collaborative performance with the Netflix animated film ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’.

On this day, Parita, Ahyeon, and Laura performed as the main group Huntress from ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’, perfectly recreating the concept from the animation in 3D reality with their hair, styling, and stage atmosphere, immersing the audience into the world of K-Pop Demon Hunters.
The stage began with ‘What It Sounds Like’ and peaked with ‘Golden’. Notably, ‘Golden’ is known to be a challenging song that even the original artists find difficult to perform, requiring a wide vocal range and high-level technique, which has led to mixed reviews in various cover performances.
However, Baby Monster flawlessly executed this difficult song with unwavering live vocals and solid high notes that burst forth without a break. Their sophisticated harmonies, stable vocal power, and breath control throughout the song elicited reactions such as “They brought K-Pop Demon Hunters to the stage.”
On-site, Maggie Kang, the director of ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’, also expressed his praise directly. He said, “Baby Monster really decorated the ‘Golden’ stage well today. I sincerely thank them,” showing his high satisfaction.

After the performance, the reactions became even more heated. Global fans commented, “The best ‘Golden’ stage I’ve ever seen,” and “It feels like the Huntress from the animation has jumped into reality,” and related videos quickly spread across online communities, social media, and YouTube.
The video of Baby Monster’s performance of ‘Golden’ surpassed 5.4 million views on the official YouTube channel as of December 1, setting the record for the highest views among this award ceremony's performance videos. They even broke the record of their own performance of ‘WE GO UP + DRIP’ from the first part of the same ceremony in just 12 hours, proving their rapid rise.
Thus, Baby Monster has established themselves as the practical ‘winner’ of the ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’, demonstrating not only their vocal prowess as ‘live powerhouses’ but also their strong popularity that moves the global K-Pop fandom.
At the ceremony, Baby Monster also won the ‘Worldwide Fans’ Choice’ award, further solidifying their presence. The members expressed, “It’s an honour to receive such a wonderful award on our first appearance. We will continue to work hard and grow as a group. Please keep an eye on us,” raising expectations for their future activities.
