SHINee member and solo artist Taemin has once again reached a new peak in his career by making his solo debut on U.S. broadcast stages after 18 years since his debut. On the 22nd (Korean Standard Time), Taemin showcased a performance of his special digital single ‘Veil’ on the popular U.S. NBC talk show ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’, and the video released immediately after the broadcast has garnered explosive reactions from global viewers.

Released in September, ‘Veil’ is a song that encapsulates Taemin's unique artistic sensibility and musical color, having already made waves globally by reaching 3rd place on the Billboard ‘World Digital Song Sales’ chart. In this broadcast, Taemin perfectly delivered ‘Veil’ live with intricate choreography and stage presence, reaffirming his identity as a performance artist that only Taemin can embody.

The stage video of ‘Veil’ released on the official YouTube channel of ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ has received thousands of comments, with fans from around the world responding enthusiastically. Notably, the moment when MC Kelly Clarkson introduced Taemin as the “Idol of Idols” quickly circulated on social media after the broadcast, marking a symbolic moment. While he has appeared on U.S. broadcast stages during group activities, this is the first time Taemin has appeared on a U.S. broadcast talk show as a solo artist, making it a significant milestone in his career.

Having debuted in 2008, Taemin is now in his 18th year and continues to break career highs. His first solo world tour ‘Ephemeral Gaze’ from 2024 to the first half of 2025 has recorded sell-out shows in various cities around the world, concluding successfully. This tour, which solidified his brand as a solo performer, has become a turning point for Taemin to establish himself as a ‘global solo headliner’ beyond his group activities.

Taemin will hold a solo concert ‘TAEMIN LIVE [Veil] in Las Vegas’ at ‘Dolby Live at Park MGM’ in Las Vegas, U.S. on January 16th (local time). At the Dolby Live stage, one of the representative venues in Las Vegas, Taemin is set to present a restructured performance of ‘Veil’ along with his solo hit songs and highlights from his world tour, with general ticket sales opening on the 25th (Korean Standard Time).

He is also receiving love calls from global festival stages. Taemin is the only name among K-Pop male solo artists lined up for the ‘Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2026’ taking place in April 2026, raising expectations for what kind of performance he will showcase at one of the largest music festivals in the world.

His Japan arena tour is also approaching its finale. Taemin will hold the final performances of ‘2025 TAEMIN ARENA TOUR 〈Veil〉’ on December 24th and 25th (local time) in Hyogo, Japan, completing his arena-level solo tour. His journey from U.S. broadcast solo debut, Las Vegas solo concert, Coachella appearance, to Japan arena tour proves Taemin's cross-border influence as a representative performance solo artist of K-Pop.
