Actor and singer Lee Jun-young and IVE's Jang Won-young have been selected as the main hosts for the '2025 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan'.
On November 28, KBS officially announced that Lee Jun-young and Jang Won-young will serve as MCs for the '2025 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan', which will be held at the Tokyo National Stadium on December 13-14 (local time in Japan). This performance is the first K-Pop concert to be held at the Tokyo National Stadium, and it is expected to impress approximately 60,000 audience members over the two days, solidifying the status of K-Pop locally.
The lineup is also impressive.
On the first day, December 13, ATEEZ, ITZY, TXT, ENHYPEN, NMIXX, BOYNEXTDOOR, RIIZE, ILLIT, KICKFLIP, HEART2HEARTS, I:D, and others will take the stage.
On the second day, December 14, TVXQ! U-KNOW, Stray Kids, NiziU, IVE, &TEAM, Xikers, ZEROBASEONE, TWS, NCT WISH, NexG, IZNA, KIKI, and CORTIZ will perform, filling the Tokyo National Stadium.
This festival marks Lee Jun-young's first challenge as an MC for the 'Music Bank Global Festival'. He has showcased impressive acting as Yeong-beom in the Netflix series 'Bokssak Sogassuda', and he is expected to lead the stage with his stable voice and witty remarks. In addition to his acting career, he is preparing a special stage as a singer, promising to showcase his versatile charm as a 'multi-entertainer'.
Jang Won-young, who will be co-hosting, has already established herself as the 'face' of KBS's year-end music brand. Starting as the 37th MC of 'Music Bank' in 2021, she has hosted the '2022 KBS Music Festival', '2023 Music Bank Global Festival', and '2024 KBS Music Festival Global Festival' for three consecutive years. With her role as MC for the '2025 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan', she will be responsible for the main hosting of KBS's year-end music show for four consecutive years. Her lovely demeanor, stable hosting, and familiarity with global fans are expected to prove her influence once again.
The combination of the two is also drawing attention. Lee Jun-young and Jang Won-young are both known figures, with Lee being from U-KISS and UNB, and Jang being the visual center of IVE. Their stage presence, high-quality hosting, and 'main job moments' beyond just being MCs are expected to provide a special experience for global K-Pop fans.
Meanwhile, the '2025 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan' is scheduled to be broadcast in South Korea on KBS 2TV on December 30 at 8:30 PM (Korean time).
